The club’s Under 16 Girls played their last league match against Clonduff in Hilltown on Wednesday night knowing that a win or a draw would mean that they finished top of the league. In a tense and thrilling game played in a very sporting spirit the home team were 2 points up at halftime. Bosco came out and early in the second half scored a few goals which saw them take a 6 point lead. Clonduff dominated the last ten minutes setting up a series of attacks but the Bosco defence was resolute and kept the Clonduff forwards to a few points. When the final whistle went the Bosco girls were 4 points up and winners of the League. The team had played 10 matches and remained undefeated – quite an achievement by this talented group of players. Well done to the players and team mentors!
